Air Peace, West Africa and Central Africa's largest airlines have marked important milestones with their historic non-stop flights from Nigeria to the Caribbean St. Kitz and Nevis tribes. The journey departing from Abuja on June 12, 2025 highlights the expansion of the airline's global ambitions.
The Boeing 777 aircraft carrying representatives of the Pan African Business Conference have completed a 10-hour journey from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport in Basseterre. It is the first time a Nigerian airline has landed in St. Kitts and Nevis, solidifying a new direct link between the two regions.
This latest achievement is Airpeace's third foray into the Caribbean within five years. In December 2020, the airline launched its first non-stop service between Nigeria and Jamaica on a flight to Montego Bay. This was followed by flights to Antigua and Barbuda in August 2023, making Air Peace the first Nigerian airline to land in the twin countries. St. Kitts and Nevis Services is currently completing a trio of direct connections with the Caribbean.
The flight highlights the ability of Airpeace's Boeing 777 Fleet to support the daily Lagos London Gatwick schedule, a route that began on March 30, 2025.
Dr. Allen Onyema, chairman and CEO of Air Peace, has previously shown plans for further expansion, including additional long-range aircraft to strengthen the Abujah London route and introduce services to Houston and New York.
The airline's motto, “Nigeria to Nigeria – No Stop, No Restrictions” reflects the strategic willingness to transform from a regional player into a global aviation candidate, leveraging Nigeria's position as the most populous nation.
