New research reveals the UK's best theme parks for family fun. And it's packed with vehicles well-rated by visitors, offering more money than some of its famous rivals.
Experts looked at a variety of key factors, including ticket prices, number of rides, TripAdvisor ratings, and local accommodation costs, to determine which parks would serve family entertainment. As school holidays approach, this less extended destination is at the top of the second year running, offering a great day for all ages without breaking the bank.
Drayton Manor, in Staffordshire, won the No. 1 spot and 7.14 out of 10 in a study conducted by Children's Toy Specialist Outdoor Toys.
With 45 rides and a 4-star TripAdvisor rating, the family-friendly resort has quietly become a favorite for both parents and children.
Drayton Manor offers nine foods and a variety of attractions, ranging from gentle rides for toddlers to high adrenaline thrills for older children.
Advanced Junior Tickets are cheaper than some other parks and offer great value, especially during peak summer weekends.
The Paultons Park – home of Peppa Pig World – came in second this year with a score of 6.75 out of 10. It boasts 36 rides and 12 food venues, plus ratings such as “Excellent” on Tripadvisor.
However, the £45 junior admission fee is the highest in the survey, with a slightly lower ride count compared to the previous year.
Still, it is scheduled to open later this year.
Meanwhile, Pleasure Beach in Blackpool came in third, surpassing Sundown Adventureland, thanks to a variety of rides and coastal locations.
Among other notable mentions, Worcestershire's Playland Fun Park stands out as the only UK theme park offering free entry for kids, making it a budget-friendly option for families.
Devon's Woodlands Family Theme Park leads the list in terms of ride count and boasts an impressive 50 attractions.
And for those who want to chill this summer, Newquay's Oasis Fun Pool has been named the UK's top rated water park.
With a wide range of attractions across the country, families are ruined for choice, but with a balance of value, fun and national charm, Drayton Manor has risen to high as the UK's ultimate family theme park for 2025.
