Almost six years after construction began, Universal Studios' spectacular Universe Theme Park was opened to the public in Orlando, Florida on Thursday (May 22nd). Sitting next to Universal's three existing parks (Universal Studios Florida, Adventure Island and Volcanic Bay), the new park features a variety of new attractions.
Guests of the Opening Day Pass are ready to head to five themed lands, including the Super Nintendo World, the Magical World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, How to Train a Dragon – Burke Island. And when the portal-style entrance and exit was first opened, it caused a frenzy among visitors.
Tiktok user Jason Jeter, a heavily action-heavy presence, shared a video from the area. He declared, “A moment of the epic opening of the universe. This is historic.”
A cry of excitement quickly followed as the guests sprinted towards the vehicle of their choice. He proceeded through the portal himself, and Jason continued. “Wow, this is crazy, this is so cool.
As more hysteria was heard in his clip, other Tiktok users responded, highlighting specific criticism of the event.
“It's probably grown adults who left all their children at home!” one person was criticized. The second said, “I'm not an invisible child.”
A third Tiktok user added, “Running is very unnecessary, just like the ride is bolted to the floor.” The fourth individual emphasized, “When I hear team members scream and scream and run, I can only imagine the faces of team members.”
“As a former Disney cast member, stop running! We're all excited, but we know someone is getting hurt. I'm amazed that members of our epic team haven't told people to walk.”
But others say, “Everyone is mostly an adult, screaming, but they decide that it's a good thing for them, but they forget to enjoy life and get stuck on work or home cycles. It's not a good thing for them.
And the second agreed: “Many people don't realize that adults who go to this park are the kids when Harry Potter and how to train your dragon was released.
Later that day, Jason returned to Tiktok and shared a series of videos of his day at the park. Theme park fans were characters from the Super Mario franchise and protagonists from Fantastic Beasts, and participated in meeting and gifts with characters from Newt Scander where to find the series.
Jason also revealed the first day wait times for various attractions – especially the 300-minute battle of Harry Potter and the province, and only five minutes in the constellation Carousel in the Celestial Park land.
As the park begins, Karen Irwin, president and COO of Universal Orlando Resort, said in a statement:
