Mozambique has temporarily suspended recently announced requirements for travelers from certain visa-waived countries to submit travel information 48 hours prior to entry.
The National Immigration Agency (SENAMI) issued a statement confirming that the rules, released on April 24, are immediately and effectively pending due to technical difficulties in the online registration system.
The suspended requirement affected citizens from 29 countries listed as visa waiver. Senami said a halt is necessary to protect the rights of users while work is being done to restore and stabilize the system. “Technical constraints have prevented normal access and data submission,” the authorities said in a statement.
Immigration officials stressed that the suspension was temporary. Once the platform is fully functional, the 48-hour pre-registration requirement will be revived.
