Taag Angola Airlines is increasing regional ties with the increase in flights to Maputo, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Brazzaville, helping to integrate tourism, business and locality.

Luanda – Taag Angola Airlines has increased the number of services for major regional routes by introducing additional flight frequencies to Maputo (Mozambique), Cape Town, Johannesburg (South Africa) and Brazzaville (Republic of the Congo). The decision aims to increase passenger flexibility, convenience and connectivity, meet the increasing demand for these destinations, and to promote connections and leisure or business trips between South and Central Africa.

Below is an update to the flight frequency from Luanda.

Cape Town (CPT): Two flights per week increased from 9 to 10 frequencies per week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Johannesburg (JNB): Two flights per week on Thursday and Saturday, with frequencies up from 7 to 9 per week. Maputo (MPM): Until June 4th, 2025, there will be flights 4 to 5 times a week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Brazzaville (BZV): Increased on Monday, Thursday and Saturday flights with 2-3 frequencies and updated departure times at 22:00 (Luanda local time).

This measure is part of a broader plan to optimize and expand the company's network, and has a multifaceted impact on sectors such as tourism.
Economic development, cultural exchange, and TAAG are positioned as benchmarks for the civil aviation sector.

Therefore, TAAG reaffirms its commitment to providing an increasingly efficient travel experience that meets the needs of its customers and passengers, strengthening its presence on strategic regional routes, and contributing to the integration and mobility of the African continent.

The Taag Angola Airlines EP is an Angola national airline and flag carrier based in Luanda, operating domestic services within Angola, medium services in Africa, and long distance services to Brazil, Cuba and Portugal. Originally established in the government sector, TAAG Angola Airlines is 100% owned by the Angola government. TAAG itself is the sole owner of the Luanda-based Angola Air Charter, which operates cargo charters in Africa.
