Indian Origin Man faces repulsion via scalle to scrap h-1b visa program

    New Delhi:

A man from India in the US publicly calls for all H-1B visas to expire and publicly calls for visa holders to be sent back to their home country.

“All H-1B visas have expired, they have to close the program and send visa holders back to their home country. It has nothing to do with maintaining America's competition. Our major national competitors don't bring in a large number of foreign workers.”

Joy responded to a post by Republican Rep. Rich McCormick. Rich McCormick has expressed support for expanding domestic visa renewals for H-1B and other low-risk visa holders.

“Last week I took part in a bipartisan push to expand domestic visa renewals for H-1B and other low-risk visa holders. Now it's time to modernize the visa system by reducing costs, increasing efficiency and maintaining American competition,” posted McCormick.

no. All H-1B visas will expire, and you will need to terminate the program and send the visa holder back to your home country.

    However, many users opposed Joy.

“It's definitely not. The system is completely abused and directly responsible for Americans losing their jobs,” the user wrote.

The US H-1B visa program allows employers to hire skilled foreign workers in professional professions that require at least a bachelor's degree.

The H-1B visa is initially granted for three years and can be extended for up to six years, allowing further extensions for those resident pursued.

Current rules require H-1B visa holders to travel to their home country's US embassy for renewal. This can lead to delays and uncertainty.

To address this issue, the pilot program was launched in 2024 to enable certain H-1B holders to renew their visas from within the United States. This initiative was recommended by Indian-American entrepreneur Ajay Jain Bhutoria.

On May 15, Bhutoria, who played a key role in promoting domestic visa renewals, shared the latest on X and showed that the idea is gaining momentum once again.

According to his official website, Bhutoria has “more than 25 years of experience driving global change at all levels, including domestic politics, diplomacy and the global technology industry.”

“We are excited to see the bipartisan support for domestic visa renewal. The pilot program is a step forward, launched based on the recommendations introduced by the state to the Whiaanhpi committee.” She shared the official US Congress document addressed to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, adding, “@secrubio, domestic visa renewal is the right move. Share the details!”

I'm excited to see bipartisan support for domestic visa renewals! The pilot programme was launched on my recommendation to the Whiaanhpi Commission and what the state has implemented is a step forward. @secrubio, domestic visa renewal is the correct move. I'm glad to share the details! pic.twitter.com/vp2v8ih5ns

    – Ajay Jain Bhutoria (@ajainb) May 14, 2025

The letter has been signed by several Congressional figures, including representatives from India Suhas Subramanyam, Raja Krishnamoorti and Ro Kanna, as well as Rich McCormick, Henry C. Hank' Johnson Jr., Don Bacon, Sanford D. Bishop Jr.
