The South African construction industry is expected to record an average annual growth of 3.5% from 2026 to 2028. It is supported by investments in the public and private sectors of South Africa's Infrastructure & Water Expo's infrastructure, featuring events that support national development costs and support the latest products beyond ports, street infrastructure and water supplies. National Mega Project

Johannesburg, South Africa | May 14, 2025: The South African government has committed over $50 billion to construction and infrastructure development over the next decade (source: Construction in South Africa). In line with the country's ambitious plans, the 12th edition of the Big 5 Construct South Africa and South Africa's Infrastructure & Water Expo will be held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg from 18-20 June 2025.

Construction and infrastructure development are key to economic growth, social progress and sustainability in South Africa. With a $125 billion construction market and a $193 billion infrastructure market, the sector supports the National Development Plan 2030 and the National Infrastructure Plan 2050 Goals (Source: ABIQ). The first South African Infrastructure & Water Expo addresses these pressing needs directly.

“We are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are offering a range of services and services that will lead to a wide range of services,” said Josine Heijmans, Senior Vice President of DMG Events. “These events are in line with national development priorities by accelerating the delivery of megaprojects, enabling knowledge exchange and strategic partnerships to promote economic growth and improve quality of life. As South Africa strengthens its investment in construction, infrastructure, water and sanitation, the events will promote international cooperation to support these important initiatives.”

    International exhibitors drive industry momentum

This year, visitors will have the opportunity to network and do business with a diverse lineup of exhibitors from over 20 countries, including Bahrain, Malaysia, Spain, Turkier, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Greece and Poland. Over 250 exhibitors will showcase their unique products and services in a diverse range of construction sectors, including concrete & cement, technology, architectural interior and finishing, heavy construction equipment, machinery & vehicles.

Based on the prominent growth of the industry in the region, the exhibition welcomes several well-known first-time exhibitors, including Bostik, the global leader in smart adhesion solutions. Muziset fiber sheet, manufacturer of high quality fiberglass sheets. Lifting Solutions, a provider of advanced lifting and construction equipment. Stanley Black & Decker South Africa, a reliable supplier of tools and industrial solutions. Olympic Paint is known for its premium yet affordable solutions and AI-powered color tools.

“The Big 5 construct provides a powerful platform to connect with key decision makers, showcase our innovations and explore new market opportunities,” said Keneilwe Nawane, South Africa's commercial director. “As first-time exhibitors, we are excited to be taking part in such a dynamic event.

CPD Certification Sessions Enhance Industry Experts

The Big 5 offers South Africa and South Africa's Infrastructure & Water Expo, providing several knowledge sharing opportunities with diverse content programs, allowing visitors to meet key decision makers, government agencies and industry leaders.

Through CPD certification sessions, the event will enable industry experts to share their knowledge and advance their careers. The Big 5 Talk sessions provide actionable insights across industry core themes, including expert-provided project management, architecture and design, technology, and sustainability.

This year, the event will also host Infra360 and Water360 Talks, providing actionable insights into South Africa's most pressing infrastructure and water challenges. Covering key themes from smart infrastructure, megaprojects, public-private partnerships to water efficiency, smart management systems and climate resilience, these sessions will highlight sustainable strategies, emerging technologies and investment opportunities that shape the future of urban development and resource management in the region.

Exclusive access to sustainable infrastructure and water solutions

New to 2025, the South African Infrastructure & Water Forum, which will pay, will include insightful discussions led by thought leaders, policymakers and innovators on topics, including sustainable infrastructure, water projects, investment unlocking, and project partnerships.

“As the region continues to prioritize infrastructure and economic change, the Big 5 will be able to build the South African and South African Infrastructure & Water Expo, which will allow participants to reunite with the industry and promote growth and progress in ongoing and future projects,” concluded Heijmans.

Registration is currently being held in collaboration with South Africa and South Africa's Infrastructure and Water Expo and Africa and Transport Evolution Africa, with free admission to trade and industry professionals ages 18 and above.
