Mozambique unexpectedly introduced new travel requirements for passport holders in countries exempt from certain visas. Instantly effective, travelers must register their trip at least 48 hours prior to departure through the official electronic travel approval (ETA) platform.
Local operators say so far have not been aware that travelers are far away when they leave or arrive. However, it remains unclear whether the authorities are applying the bounty period. According to official notifications, travelers who fail to register in advance are at risk of being denied boarding or entering Mozambique.
