As summer is turning the corner, British tourists are already beginning to plan vacations in European cities. However, experts have warned British people about lesser-known European rules that could cost as much as £21,000 during a visit to a beautiful European country.

Blackcircles motor experts warn holiday makers that plan to drive their cars and licenses overseas to meet local regulations. It is also recommended that UK tourists check local laws before planning a visit to popular European countries. If not, he said they could be at risk of heavy fines or points with their license. Several countries with a continent ban operate dash cams in cars – and one Austria slaps particularly hefty fines for those who break this rule.

“We've been working hard to get the better of our customers,” said James Harding of Blackcircles. “Take your own car or rent a car abroad gives a sense of freedom to the manufacturer on your days off. You will be able to explore your destination yourself. However, it is important to have all the right documents and understand the motor law before traveling to your destination.

“For example, drivers cannot operate dashcams in Portugal, Luxembourg or Austria as they are considered a violation of privacy.

“Repeated criminals will be fined up to £21,000 (Euro 25,000) in Austria. If you drink or drink behind the wheel in Cyprus, you will be fined £71 (Euro 85).

“In Germany, Road Rage can cost you a lot. If you scream humiliation or make offensive gestures to the police and the public, you can get a fine of up to £3,300 (4,000 euros).”
