Croatian Airlines delivered the Airbus A220-300 from Azola, the first of three based in Florida.

The aircraft is the third type of aircraft introduced into the Croatian flag carrier fleet. The airline has adopted 15 for its modernization program.

Azora ordered a 22 A220 directly from Airbus, six of which were delivered to airline customers and delivered.

Jet – serial number 55350 and registered 9a-cal – was transported to Zagreb from the Airbus Assembly Site in Montreal Mirabelle.

Jasmine Bazic, CEO of Croatian Airlines, said the airline expects to receive five aircraft this year, allowing it to expand its network. This season we have introduced five new international routes.

He adds that Azola's delivery is “a stepping into another step in the largest project in our history,” adding that the update will be completed by 2027.

Azora says the lease agreement with the carrier will include deliveries of the remaining two aircraft by 2026.

Founder and CEO John Evans added that lenders are “committed to deepening our partnership” with Croatian Airlines during the transition to a single type of fleet.

Croatian Airlines has 10 aircraft in addition to the A220, including six Airbus A320 family models and four de Havilland Dash 8-400s.
