Serengeti Balloon Safaris launches a new pioneer guide apprentice program to support the next generation of safari guides in Tanzania
Recently, Serengeti Balloon Safaris, who was awarded the acclaim for being the world's best balloon operator, has announced that they have completed their first balloon Trailblazers Guide Guide Guide Apprenticeship Program.
Serengeti Balloon Safaris (SBS) is considered one of the most reputable trainers in the industry, ensuring that all staff undergo a rigorous training process before being allowed to work in the business. SBS has gained experience with the best training in over 30 years of training and has now officially developed the training into a three-week intensive training program.
From learning defensive and off-road driving to wilderness first aid, vehicle maintenance, safety protocols, Tanapa regulations and commitment to the art of five-star customer service, these future pioneers are ready to redefine their guides in Tanzania.
Of the 22 trainees, SBS will recruit 12 major trainees, and will then continue to train intensively with two years of apprentice within SBS as transfer drivers. However, the journey of the remaining 10 people does not stop there as some of the SBS promises to support them in future employment elsewhere.
The scheme is fully implemented at the expense of SBS, but plans to benefit the lives of countless Tanzanians and their families over the next few years, reflecting SBS's long-term social impact policy.
John Kols, MD of Serengeti Balloon Safaris, commented.
“This program is more than training. It's a commitment to the future of excellence, sustainability and safari tourism. We are extremely proud that our first class of balloon pioneers demonstrates growth, glory and greatness. They are a responsible, unforgettable safari future.”
