The British, who enjoyed their holidays in Spain’s top tourist destinations, have made it clear that they will never return as a result of overtourism protests that seized the country. This comes after protest groups issued a harsh warning as they have been “mobilizing” more than in June.

A series of major demonstrations will be held from Lanzaroth and Tenerife in the Canary on June 15th, from Lanzaroth and Tenerife in the Canary to Valerix and Barcelona on the mainland. The protests (sets) coordinated by the Southern European network of tourism are set for demanding actions for tourism growth. “We want tourists to have some fear about the situation. Don’t be afraid, there’s no change,” explained Elena Boski, one of the protesters.

Another protester added: “We are not opposed to tourists, but what we don’t welcome is how we are in our city or area.

However, despite the fact that they do not appear to be targets of protests, the British took them to social media to reveal that they would never return to the iconic Southern Mediterranean country again.

“We’ve been elsewhere since they protested: Thailand, Cyprus, Malta and Greece,” one Britt said.

“I have no intention of staying in a hotel in Spain since this year. I use the accommodation so that they don’t let them cry about it,” another person said.

“I don’t go anywhere that’s not welcome. I stopped going to Spain two years ago. My most recent trips have been to France (twice), Germany, Poland, Malta and Italy.

But not all British people are opposed to the protest. “I agree with them to some extent, people who buy homes like here and Cornwall and Wales. Locals don’t have a place to live.

The protest is expected to take place in the airport, popular beaches and city centres, with organizers warning tourists that braces are needed for confusion. Some suggest possible demonstrations within the airport terminals during the peak summer travel season.

Last summer, similar protests attracted the Acors of thousands of Spanish residents, with signs that read “tourists are coming home” and some hostile conflicts. In Barcelona, some visitors were sprayed with water pistols and was criticized by the Spanish Tourism Minister.
