The man was allegedly arrested after being smoked on a flight from Manchester to Tenerife. Canarian Weekly reports that his actions urge pilots to call police and officers are waiting when the aircraft lands.
The flight headed to Tenerife South Airport on Thursday, with fellow passengers said to have been “unstood” by the man's actions. National police officers were waiting to escort criminals from the aircraft.
The crew is said to have been “forced to intervene.” Smoking on commercial flights has been prohibited since the 90s, and strict laws are in place to protect your health and safety.
Canarian Weekly added that it has not been linked to the airline, but it has yet to confirm the outcomes of its smoking right now. However, penalties for such behavior can be serious.
Smoking on a plane – or vaping with the same punishment, you could be hit with huge fines, airline bans, and even criminal charges.
The incident reminds us of the dangers posed by passengers who hold flut rules while working half-5,000 feet, and what the cabin crew faces.
