The Prime Class Lounge at Muscat International Airport was named the best airport lounge in the Middle East and Africa, and won the Regional Lounge of the Year Award for Excellence in 2025. Operated by TAV Operation Services, the lounge has consistently received high praise for its thoughtful design, various amenities and exceptional standards of customer service.
Operated by Global Airport Experience Program Priority Pass, the Priority Pass Excellence Awards is based on over 781,000 verified member ratings and reviews collected between March 2024 and 2025. These reviews assess lounges on criteria such as service quality, comfort, facilities, food and beverage provision, and overall satisfaction. The Lounge of the Year category recognizes the most rated lounges in each region, and Primeclass Lounge Muscat has acquired the place by impressing travelers with both its atmosphere and hospitality.

Frequent guests in the lounge described the space as “peaceful”, “beautifully designed”, and “simply amazing”. Its layout combines calm, open interiors with a quiet family area with many thoughtful touches that enhance the traveler experience, from pool stands and sports screens to children's play areas and dedicated family rooms. One traveler shared how members of the cleaning team could provide private space after they realized they had a baby. Many praised the food. Special thanks were given to the care and attention of the staff and chefs.
Lounge of the Year is just one of three award categories for the Priority Pass Excellence Awards, highlighting Pioneer of the Year, which recognizes innovation, and All-Star of the Year, which highlights individuals who provide outstanding services. The overall Global Lounge of the Year became the Brazilian Advantage VIP Lounge, with other regional winners selected from Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America, Latin America and the Caribbean.
