Important advice from flight attendants for those worried about turbulence | Travel News | Travel

Flight attendants share advice with people who are concerned about flight turbulence and why not be scared.

It's a time when places in Europe are beginning to get warmer, and many of us are planning a summer vacation. And while planning and going on holidays is very exciting, the idea of flying can bring a lot of anxiety.

Most flyers experience turbulence from time to time. It can swing the aircraft around and can be very uncomfortable and scary. Sometimes it lasts for a few minutes, but sometimes it happens several times during flight.

However, flight attendants working at EasyJet are reassuring passengers that they don't have to panic. Kayleigh Weaver, a member of the cabin crew, recently took him to Tiktok to explain in detail exactly what happens during the turbulence.

Kaley admits that despite working on a plane most days, she was a nervous flyer. She somehow managed to overcome the fear after realising that turbulence was a “very normal part of flight,” she insisted.

Kaley said: “Let's talk about turbulence. First, we're here to help you understand what turbulence is. So, in simple terms, turbulence is irregular or confusing movement or air.

She added: “We often know before we fly whether the flight path will become turbulent, and our decks often mitigate this by adjusting the altitude to find smoother air.

She added that it is not dangerous as long as she makes sure the seat belt is secured. She said that's why so many airlines encourage you to wear your seat belt, even when the traffic lights are off.

Kayleigh @Kayleighhrweaver, who shared the video on her page, added:

One individual commented, “I'm a crew member in the shed, and still I hate turbulence,” another former crew member said:

“That's good, but I can get that bad motion sickness and turbulence,” another commented.

“The best way to see turbulence is like a road. Not all the roads are smooth and some are really bumpy.” “Thank you for explaining this,” another added.

Some said they enjoyed the turbulence. They explained: “I absolutely love turbulence. I'm very relaxed and always sleepy.”
