Miami Beach is familiar with luxury restaurants and luxury hotels.
Opened in a 1920s bungalow in the heart of the city's historic Art Deco district, Donatera Boutique Hotel & Restaurant enhances the gorgeous ante with modern openings with Mediterranean-style doors in May.
“From the moment you enter, you're stepping into an oasis that feels transported and hung in time in something calm, deeply personal,” Jamil Dib, co-founder and owner of Vida & Estilo Hospitality Group, tells Forbes.

Just two blocks away from the legendary Versace Mansion on Collins Avenue (now known as the Villa Casacas Arena), the Donatera Boutique Hotel serves as a sister property to Miami's iconic landmark.
Back in 1922, the building that currently occupies the hotel was designed by the acclaimed architect Wallace Tutt, who also designs the Versace mansion. After the building was acquired in 2022 by the hospitality of the Nakasz family and Vida & Estilo, it was undergoing a massive restoration and was completely reimagined for six important luxury retreats and restaurants.
The hotel was designed by the Nakashu Group and the hospitality of Vida and Estilo.

Each room, named Italian, contains design details that combines raw natural textures, including stone and wood elements, with gold accents and mirrored ceilings.
Each room features stone headboards, luxurious vanity areas and thoughtful decorations, as well as locally inspired art and handmade ornaments that connect guests to Miami's vibrant cultural heritage.
“This isn't just a design, it's an emotional thing,” Dib said. “Every element of Donatera's architecture was created to stir up a sense of nostalgia, romance and a place far from home.”

The Donatera Restaurant will debut as a coastal dining destination in southern Italy when it opens next month. The restaurant cuisine, led by executive chef Alessandro Molone, is celebrated for its simplicity, vibrant flavour and is inspired by Neapolitan cuisine, which focuses on fresh, high-quality ingredients.
“At Donatera, our vision was to create more than just a restaurant. We wanted to create a journey to the southern coast of Italy, where we wanted to tell the story of tradition, simplicity and soul,” Dib said.
The menu features traditional Italian cuisine with specialities such as Pólipoal Insalata, Rigatoni nduja, Black Truffle Cacio e Pepe, Veal Milanese and Skull Island Erwawn.
