Three stunning coastal walks in the UK that don't require a car | UK | Travel

With the warm moon coming soon, there's no more time to go outside and make the most of the UK's outdoors. Enjoy pints after walking in gentle green hills, panoramic views of the British coast, and charming villages. There are many day trips that can be easily made without a car.

There is no shortage of scenic hiking routes to explore in the UK, but some are farther away than others and require a few days of walks. If driving is not an option, or if you simply push time and can't afford a few days, there are also day trips along the coast of England that are easily accessible. In a post shared to Instagram, adventure traveler Zoe Tehrani revealed the top three coastal walks along the UK channel “can be done as a day trip from London using a train.”

A combination of moderate and more challenging routes is combined, with the first walk zoe being Hastings to the rye.

The seaside town is just an hour and a half from London by train. All journeys from Hastings Station to Rye are 13 miles and take 3-4 hours to complete.

Upon finishing on rye, the ancient port town is known for its cobblestone lanes and medieval homes, making it a popular destination in itself. Zoe recommends taking the train from St. Pancras to Hastings, as they can return to the same ticket from rye. Open returns are £30 depending on the railway card.

Plus, along the coast, Dover is a moderate walk. By train, it is just over an hour from St Pancras in London, and the train stations are 11.5 miles away.

If you want to make the most of your dip near the coast, Zoe also said he loves “taking a sea immersion on this walk” in St. Margaret Bay. This makes it a good option for mild weather, and if you book in advance, you can get a return ticket for £21.50.

Finally, for “a good old classic walk,” Zoe recommends the Seven Sisters route from Seaford to Eastbourne in Sussex. You will need to take the train from Victoria London and change into Lewis to get to Seaford.

To do this, you can purchase a return ticket to Eastbourne. This costs £15.30 with a rail card when booking a week in advance, and you can get a single ticket for a trip from Lewis to Seaford. With a 12-14-mile walk, this journey will pass you past the iconic white chalk cliff known as the seven sisters.
