Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The Ethiopian Airlines Forum officially opened at the Ethiopia Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa this week, convening global aviation leaders, government officials, aircraft manufacturers and industry stakeholders for a discussion centered on the future of African aviation.
Hosted by Ethiopian airlines, the event provides a platform to explore sector opportunities and challenges, focusing on promoting regional integration, technological innovation and sustainable growth. The forum will be held until April 25th, 2025.
In his opening remarks, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew highlighted the role of aviation in supporting economic development in Africa. “Ethiopian Airlines is proud to be holding this forum in the heart of Addis Africa,” he said, highlighting the potential of the aviation sector to promote integration and growth across the continent.
(Established in 1945, Ethiopian Airlines is Africa's largest airline and operates a modern fleet serving more than 130 domestic and international destinations. The airline has received multiple acclaim, including being named Best Airline in Africa by SkyTrax and maintaining a strong presence within the StarAlliance Network.
The forum is expected to promote dialogue on regulatory frameworks, infrastructure investments and innovation, while also providing networking opportunities for key stakeholders in the global aviation environment.
