Royal Air Maroc Freight, the cargo division of Morocco's national airlines, has announced an ambitious roadmap aimed at transforming operations through global growth, digital innovation, sustainability and community engagement.
At the heart of the airline's strategy is the comprehensive fleet modernization initiative led by the integration of a new generation of widebody aircraft. These advanced jets highlight the airline's commitment to operational efficiency, environmental management and strengthening cargo capacity.
In 2025, Royal Airmallock Cargo will focus on expanding across Africa, entering emerging Asian and American markets. With a global network of 82 destinations, including major hubs in the US, Canada, Brazil, Europe and the Middle East, airlines are strategically positioned to connect high-growth regions with speed and agility.
The carrier's wide bodypack aircraft is a key enabler of this vision, offering a wider range, fuel efficiency and increased cargo capacity. Complemented by a fleet of 30 narrow bodies and a dedicated Boeing 767 cargo ships, the modernized fleet enhances the Royal Air Mallok freight capacity to transport bulk and palletized goods with extraordinary flexibility.
Casablanca will continue to serve as an important transit hub, offering state-of-the-art cargo terminals with capacity of 200,000 tonnes per year. The facility includes specialized infrastructure for handling temperature sensitive and high value shipments of pharmaceuticals, fresh foods, and electronics.
Digital transformation is also the forefront and center of an airline's growth strategy. Through strategic partnerships with platforms such as Cargo. One and Cargo.ai, customers will enjoy 24/7 access to bookings and scheduling, with future upgrades being configured to include real-time tracking and automated documentation.
Sustainability remains the basis of operations. Royal Air Maroc Freight operated a fuel-efficient fleet, participated in IATA's Eco Hub program, utilized solar power systems at the facility, and introduced biodegradable wrapping materials to reduce environmental impact. Airlines also play a humanitarian role by partnering with organizations like Airlink to provide important medical supplies throughout the continent.
“We're looking forward to seeing you get the most out of our business,” said Yassine Berrada, vice president of cargo at Royal Air Maroc. “Our vision is to expand the global network of Royal Air Mallok freight, connect emerging and established markets, and strengthen Morocco's position as a trade and logistics hub.
“With the introduction of a new generation of wide bodies, we are not only increasing our operational capabilities, but reducing our environmental impact. We build an innovative, responsible, and customer-focused future.”
