Bambara crowns one of the “most beautiful” places in the UK, with its award-winning castles and Golden Beach portraying visitors from afar. Once a royal seat in ancient Northumbria, Northumberland's hotspots are a must-see for history and nature lovers, offering an idyllic day with spectacular views of the Sacred Islands and the Farn Islands.

Stayure travel experts have recently placed Bamburgh in the top 50 pieces on the UK beauty spot list, highlighting the village's outstanding feature, the Majestic Bamburgh Castle. This one, 400-year-old fortress continues to dominate the coastline, allowing tourists to see historic treasures on its basis. Visitors can delve into a treasure trove of history, from weapons that have died in the unforgettable battle of the Armory to a vast collection of heirlooms of family heirlooms in the Stateroom, reports the Chronicle.

Not to miss is the castle's archaeology and aviation museum, diving deep into the past.

The vast ground boasts not only ancient chapels and cannon ruins, but also breathtaking ocean views that stretch endlessly across the archaeological sites and horizon.

Bambara Castle is open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm and is admitted at the last 4pm. Adult tickets cost £18.75 and children's tickets cost £9.40.

This website is worth checking out upcoming events, from film prop exhibitions to children's crafts and logo workshops.

But Bambara is not just a castle. The village tells the story of the daughter of a local lighthouse keeper who saved nine men from a devastating shipwreck in the nearby Farn Islands in 1838.

Visiting the free museum allows visitors to see the famous rowfish boat used by Grace and his father during the heroic rescue that led to national fame and personal items and portraits of the Darling family.

Another major attraction of Bambara is undoubtedly the amazing Bambara Beach. This is the ideal place for a scenic walk anytime of the year with its perfect sand.

After a pleasant view, you can take a walk to the village's main street. There is a collection of cafes, including the famous copper kettle tea room.

There are restaurants serving fresh locally produced seafood, and potted lobster is the top rate option on TripAdvisor.

Bambara is the perfect base for exploring Northumberland's breathtaking coastal attractions, including the enchanting sacred island of Lindisfarne with 16th-century castles, and the Fern Islands, home to thousands of tzelis and other seabirds.

These can be reached by boat trips from the seahouse in nearby villages.

For those who want to expand their Northumberland adventures into mini-breaks, consider staying in one of the unique cottages converted to Bambara holidays.

These can be found on websites such as HolidayCottages.co.uk and Sykes Holiday Cottages.
