With the Aircraft Interior Expo (AIX), Dubai-based airline Friedubai has partnered with Boeing to upgrade 21 of its 737 largest aircraft with a larger Boeing Space Bin.
This cabin enhancement is intended to improve passenger comfort by providing more storage space for carry-on baggage.
Each new space bin can hold up to six standard size bags compared to just four standard bins.
By rotating the bags towards the edges, these bins maximize space and rival the storage capacity of a wide body aircraft. This upgrade allows travelers to have room to bring in, making boarding smoother and more convenient.

Daniel Kerrison, senior vice president of inflight operations at Flydubai, spoke about the airline's commitment to innovation.
“Since it began in 2009, we have focused on improving the passenger experience. These large bins are consistent with our goal of providing more convenience and providing a better on-flight experience,” he said.
Boeing's Doug Bucks, Vice President of Cabin, Corrections and Maintenance, said there is an increasing demand for better storage. “Passers value the extra bin space for carry-on and are excited to work with Friedubai to lead this upgrade to the largest fleet of the 737,” he said.
Flydubai operates a modern fleet of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft, including the largest model of the 59 737. The airline serves more than 130 destinations in 55 countries connecting regions such as Africa, Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East and South Asia. The network reflects Friedbai's mission to promote trade, tourism and cultural exchange.
