In 2023, a year before he retired from tennis, Rafael Nadal lived his life after sports by launching the Zel Hospitality brand at Melia Hotels. After opening real estate in Mallorca and Costa Brava, Spain this month, the 22-time Grand Slam champion serves as Zel Punta Cana, the third hotel in the Dominican Republic. The 190 suite facility features eight restaurants, a spa, a beach club and many tennis courts. “I traveled 20 years ago,” Nadal told the Forbes Travel Guide at the hotel's opening. “I was lucky enough to visit perhaps the best hotel in the world. I learned what I like and what I don't like. It's a completely different experience (now).”
Air France launches new first class suite

This spring, Air France is upgrading its first-class service, LaPremière, on a selected flight between Paris and JFK in New York. The new suite is 38 square feet, with the longest bed in the air (6.5 feet) and a flood side suite in natural light across five windows. (The shade also has semi-transparent and power outage options.) Two 32-inch 4K screens allow you to view 1,500 hours of entertainment from the suite seat or its chise long. When it comes to cooking, Dominique Cren, three Michelin-star chefs in San Francisco and owner of Atelier Cren and Bar Cren, offers several options for flights departing the US. Another three-star chef Emmanuel Renault at Frocons des Serre Restaurant in Megave prepares food for a flight departing from Paris.

There are many reasons to visit Europe this summer, but great wines make them all better. Europe's best destinations have just released a list of Europe's best wine destinations for 2025, researching over 280,000 wine lovers from 92 countries. This year, Bulgaria's Plovdiv had a 5,000-year tradition of winemaking, but Spain's La Rioja, Bordeaux and France concluded the top three, and was named Europe's top wine capital.

Those thinking about a second passport should consider how powerful it is. So does it mean the number of countries that the carrier can visit without a visa? According to a new Astons report, Spain held the world's most powerful passport in 2025, with visa-free access to 177 countries, closely followed by 10 countries linked to Greece, France, Italy, Germany and 176.

If they look a bit self-righteous in Helsinki now, it's probably because Finland has been nominated for the world's happiest country for eight years in a row. The 2025 World Happiness Report ranks in over 140 countries based on many factors, including life expectancy, freedom from corruption, and generosity. Other Scandinavian countries are also around the world this year, with Denmark, Iceland and Sweden placing the top four and the Netherlands in fifth place. The US achieved a new low in 2025, dropping to 24th, but please cheer up. Americans, there are still many real estate before we bottom out.
