Ghana and Morocco are approaching the establishment of visa-free travel arrangements that promise to deepen diplomatic, economic and cultural connections. Ghana's Deputy Foreign Minister Samuel Okdozet Abrakwa announced that a formal agreement will be set up before both parliaments in the near future. This follows high-level consultations with Morocco's Ghanaian Ambassador, Iman Waadil, and is poised to streamline travel for businessmen, tourists and students, encouraging greater trade and investment flows between the two countries.

In addition to plans to lift travel restrictions, Morocco has significantly increased annual scholarship allocations for Ghanaian students from 90 to 180 to 180 spots. These initiatives reflect stronger bilateral relations and identify tourism as a key area for mutual growth. Once officially ratified, visa exemptions are expected to boost cross-border travel and cultural interactions, and to more closely coordinate the two countries with Africa's integrated tourism and development goals.
