Italy's Amalfi Coast is one of the destinations that you need to check out from the bucket list. After spending decades on travel and car rental space, Harry Anapriotis shared why Italy's Amalfi Coast is best explored on four wheels.
“Road travel gives us a sense of freedom that other types of travel simply can't match,” Harry said. For those confident enough to bravely confront the windy, narrow roads, the spectacular views along the way are worth it. Harry said: “This stunning 50-mile stretch along Italy's Sorrenine Peninsula connects the picturesque town built on a cliff overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.
“Highlights include the colorful homes of Positano, the historic location of Rabello, and the beautiful gardens of Villasinbron.”
Harry said the route is “over 3-5 days” and is great to really incorporate everything to watch and enjoy a relaxed pace.
There is a plenary of local eateries and a picturesque town you will visit along the way.
“Think about visiting in May, June or September to avoid peak tourist crowds while enjoying the warm weather,” advised Harry.
For those who want to experience riding along the Amalfi coast without putting pressure on every turn, cars and people to pilot, a private driver is the option.
Alternate travel routes can include trains, buses and ferries. Depending on your preference and budget.
A fan of freedom and flexibility to hire a car, Harry has another place where road trips can be considered.
For your first road tripper, the romantic German roads can soften you into the space of your car rental.
“The roads are very maintained and well signed, making them perfect for your first European road tripper,” Harry said.
“Following medieval trade routes, this 220-mile journey through Bavaria and Baden-Wurttemberg, travels through historic walled towns and fairy tales castles from past.”
It also features the medieval charm of Rothenburg of del Tauber, the stunning Neuschwanstein Castle, and the beautiful walled city of Dinkelsbuhl.
