Tanzania Prime Minister Kasim Majaliwa has launched the NDEA entry and exit gates at Mukomaji National Park in the Mwanga district of the Kilimanjaro region. The new infrastructure, built at a cost of 350 million TZ, is part of the government's broader strategy to enhance tourism accessibility and attract more visitors both domestically and internationally.
Emmanuel Mwairama, the chief guardian of Mukomaji National Park, highlighted the potential for gates to increase tourist numbers, particularly the park's diverse wildlife, such as black rhinoceros and elephants, as well as the scenic lake gyps. This investment is consistent with Tanzania's continued efforts to strengthen the tourism sector as a key contributor to economic growth.
