The 50 Best Beaches in the World have published their 2025 listings, and getting a top spot is a stunning place in Italy, followed by beaches from around the world, including Asia and Africa. The UK missed a place on the top 50 list, but Ireland's quaint beaches have made it into the rankings.
According to the list, the best beach in the world to visit in 2025 is Karagororitze, Italy. Located in the southern part of Sardinia's Gulf of Orosei, the beach boasts crystal clear blue waters and is surrounded by dramatic cliffs, giving it a beaty truck vibe. This list describes this beach as “really breathtaking” and is a place that “supports” in the already beautiful part of this Italian island. The beach was named a Nature Monument in the 1990s and has been highly preserved.
The top 10 list consists of beaches from around the world, with second place at Entalla Beach in Palawan, Philippines. This coastal spot is an impressively high ranking, and “is less frequent than the rest of the area, providing visitors with an opportunity to escape the usual tourist spots and truly immerse themselves in nature.”
It was also praised for its “very clear” water, which provides optimal conditions for swimming and snorkeling. The beach is only accessible by boat, making it an exciting adventure for tourists in the area.
Third on the list of world's best beaches for 2025 is Bambao Beach, Thailand, followed by Fteri Beach in Greece, fourth and fifth PK 9 Beach in France, Polynesia.
Despite several top-rated beaches such as Brighton Beach and Bournemouth Beach, the UK missed placement on the list. Irish entry, Chiem Bay on Aquill Island in Mayo County, came in 48th place.
Peaceful and scenic Irish Beach was praised for its “raw natural beauty and amazing blue seas” similar to what can be seen in more tropical places.
