£2.28 pint “Europe Hawaii” is a 4-hour flight from the UK | Europe | Travel

Located off the northwest coast of Africa is Madeira, Portugal. It is known as “Europe Hawaii” thanks to its tropical climate and volcanic landscape. This stunning island used to be a hidden gem, but interest appears to have been growing in recent months, with searches for “Madeira Vacation” appearing to have increased by 70% over the past three months in the UK.

One important difference between Madeira and Hawaii is that Jet is much closer and affordable, starting from just £43, and flights to Hawaii can pull back from £600 to £2,000 or more. Madeira has recently been highlighted as a great destination for anyone looking for a place with cheap pints and some UK pubs.

Holiday provider Travel Republic has analyzed the data to discover who has the most UK pubs and cheapest pints.

They found that in the UK, the average cost of a pint of beer is £4.79, and in the capital of Fanchar in Madeira, pints are £2.28 for home beer and imports are £2.90.

They also found that Madeira has 16 British and Ireland pubs, more than half of which are more than half of live sports. This means you don't have to miss out on the game while on vacation.

On top of this, we found that many of these pubs offer classic British favourites, including fish and chips, full English breakfasts and Sunday roasts.

For those who want to make the most of this tropical paradise, there are plenty of ways to reconnect with nature in the warmer annual temperatures of Madeira from stunning gardens, cascade waterfalls and long hiking trails that pass through forests and mountains.

If you want to relax and sunbathe on your holiday schedule, there are plenty of beaches to visit. And there's good news for those hoping to soak in the ocean. Even in winter, water temperatures are usually between 18c and 24c.
